I don’t know how they managed it, but Fucked Up, with a little help from their friends, have recorded a genuinely good version of “Do They Know It’s Christmas?”. Seriously, I hate the original song, but with some awesomely distorted guitar and the assistance of Ezra Koenig, David Cross, Yo La Tengo, and Andrew W.K. (to name but a few), the Canadian hardcore punk group have turned it into the anthem Bono and that twat from the Boomtown Rats never could.
