Pop goes the talent.

Make an opinion on these before/After’s…

First example:

katy Perry;

THEN:

NOW:

Lady GaGa

THEN:

NOW:

It’s only a coincidence that both these songs are ballads, and OK so GaGa/Stefani’s playing gets a little muddy, and Katy Perry’s voice is a little weak in places, but both are small criticisms compared to the lashing I could give the likes of Poker Face. Isn’t it a bit tragic that pop’s nature is determined by its title? The only thing worse than talentless pop is dormant talent masquerading as talentless pop.

It’s not the same as losing your steam (see: Green Day) or losing touch (see: many) , in fact, this is worse! It’s literally putting away the talent and getting out the butt/boob.

I won’t be the first person to point out the evil side of the pop music industry, but why take someone with a slice of talent to make the latter records when it doesn’t take any to make them?

This is not a rhetorical question.
