I am a fan of Har Mar Superstar. Don’t judge me. For those who don’t know, Har Mar makes slick pop/r’n’b boasting of his sexual prowess and irresistibility to the ladies, seemingly unaware of the fact that he is bald and fat. This is just one reason that I like him.

Another reason is that he makes, to these ears at least, genuinely catchy pop songs. After a five year gap (which saw Har Mar work with the awesome Neon Neon), he’s back with new single “Tall Boy” and the promise of a new album.

It’s a pretty infectious song, so check out the video above to see Har Mar show off his moves in a particularly unflattering spacesuit and to see an inexplicable appearance from Arrested Development’s Alia Shawkat.

Here’s a promise - I will NEVER post about Har Mar Superstar again. But at least check him out before writing him off. If it’s any comfort, Los Campesinos! are débuting their new single tomorrow and normal service will be swiftly resumed.
