The Spinto Band Ready New Album

I love it when this happens! You see, just two days ago a song called Direct To Helmet came up on my iPod’s shuffle setting, and I was reminded (for the first time in at least a year) of just how great The Spinto Band are. When I got home I went to the band’s website to see what they’d been up to recently, and it turned out that not only had they just recorded a soundtrack (for the documentary film Biba! One Island, 879 Votes) but they were in the process of finishing a new album proper.

And lo and behold that album, entitled “Shy Pursuit”, now has a release date; May 1st to be precise. The band have also made two songs from the album available, one to stream and one to download. Predictably both songs are great, although if I had to pick a favourite it would have to be the second track The Living Things, which you can get below for the cost of an email address.
