Jemina Pearl- Ecstatic Appeal

Following the break-up of Be Your Own Pet, frontwoman Jemina Pearl has dissapeared with guitarist John Eatherly, only to come back as Jemina Pearl. Why wouldn’t you with a name like that? They’ve just thrown up 3 new demos on myspace under the new name and things sound a lot more melodic. They’ll be a few hardcore BYOP fans who won’t like the new direction, but Jemina and John were both so young when they started out that most fans have grown alongside them and the new maturity has only worked in their favour.

I’m excited for the Jemina Pearl brand, and hope that they can ride off the relative success of BYOP, and as most of those fans weren’t exclusively punk anyway it shouldn’t be too hard.
